The trip to Mosbach 14-18 September 2023 - our first after the Covid hiatus. Twenty-nine of us from LITA took part together with our local hosts. Old friendships were renewed and new ones forged - always a key feature of our exchange visits. We enjoyed excellent hospitality from our Mosbach hosts and fine weather for our excursions. On the first morning, we were guests of Oberbürgermeister Julian Stipp at the elegant Rathaus (Town Hall), founded in the 13th century and originally as a church building. The group visit was a day visit to the stunning 18th century palace at Schwetzingen with its elegant gardens set out in both formal and informal ('English') styles. We had started the day in nearby Heidelburg after a coach trip from Mosbach along the river Neckar. Some took the chance to enjoy its imposing castle, others the bustling town centre and the banks of the Neckar, all in very warm sunshine.
