Twinners enjoy a bit of Christmas magic

Lymington & District International Twinning Association got the Christmas season off to a good start with their annual party. Organisers Lesley Pappini and Jenny Barnes planned an evening with a difference – a Winter Picnic with members bringing all manner of delicious party food and drink, and some even a candelabra!
After enjoying a glass of Bucks Fizz, everyone sat down to their supper and much laughter and gasps ensued as magician Phil Bynorth provided the entertainment. Each table was visited in turn and treated to a different trick from the nimble-fingered Phil, who dazzled everyone with his skills. The talented Shirley Hewitt then led everyone in singing seasonal songs and carols, playing the piano heartily despite an injured finger. The evening was intended as a social get-together, but with tickets sales and a raffle, a good profit was made which will go towards entertaining our visitors from our twin towns, Almansa, Spain and Mosbach, Germany in 2016. |
